I am an artist living in Austin, TX. I specialize in "Digital Graphics" designed for print. I first learned about the basics understandings of art in high school art class. Miss Cline was thorough with her teachings of this subject. I remember her asking the class on day one, "How do you know if a piece of art is good or not"? That's when I learned about perspective, line, focal point, color, etc. I also studied photojournalism for 2 years in high school. I was able to apply those same concepts miss Cline taught me in art class to photography.
When I got to college I chose photography as my major. That's when I discovered digital photography. Now it was possible to take as many pictures without any concerns for how much film is being used. Till then, photos had to be processed using toxic chemicals and light sensitive paper. The digital world is a wonderful thing. During my second semester of college I registered for a class that used a revolutionary new program called Photoshop. Now the possibilities were endless. If you can imagine it, you could create it.
That's when I realized that I can incorporate everything I've learned from the past and combine it using a computer to produce high quality art. I've been creating graphic art ever since. That was over 20 years ago. Even after a traumatic accident I had in 2009 which left me paralyzed from the chest down, and confined to a wheelchair. I still create everyday and nothing will ever change that.
